Reveal, Oh Lord
On Trials
To You I Will Be True
Light I see,
So far away,
Into the mist I cry,
Oh, Lord stay close,
Be near to me,
My angel in the sky.
Heaven close,
It must be true,
The word You spoke to me,
Oh, Lord, my God,
Heavenly host,
Now near for me to see.
How it’s so,
That man denies,
Your energy or light,
Oh, Lord please trust,
Before I go,
I’ve fought a worthy fight.
Trust me now,
I ne’er gave up,
My love or hope in You,
Though others feel,
To break their vow,
To You I will be true.
How Gracious is Our Lord
Oh, King of mine, how gracious Thou,
To overlook our sin,
Although repetitive and dark,
Thy mercy is secure,
We will rest quietly and sure,
That heaven is our mark.
We praise our King, continually,
Our love for him grows on,
Though tests and trials daunt our mind,
Salvation cures our pain,
And blots out any ling’ring stain,
That man could ever find.
Let’s sing sweet songs and melodies,
Which magnify Thy throne,
And crystal waters let us sip,
To purify our souls,
Protecting us from life’s hard tolls,
Amidst our earth-bound trip.
Lord, Lord please accept our thanks,
And praise and glory too,
Without You nothing quite compares,
Alone we’d be and lost,
Compelled to shiver in the frost,
And die bound to our cares.
With Me, Oh Lord
With me, Oh Lord, do walk beside,
Unbridled hopes, no longer bare,
Forgiveness granted, heav’n espied,
Relinquished of all earthly care.
‘Tis You oh Lord, my only dream,
Though tribulations try to mock,
You alone my fate redeem,
Anchoring my soul upon Your rock.
Thus come anon before I step,
Upon the bush of thorny pins,
Which on your head they placed erect,
To help wash clean my many sins.
Ere You I knew I pried and pried,
Alone without Your needful love,
Until one day to You I died,
Deeds scarlet once, now like the dove.
So do with me as You will please,
Just let me know that You are there,
Your grace suffices to appease,
My sorrow, pain or trials here.
