Essay Preparation/Writing Help: This program is designed to help students who are preparing a college essay for some of the more competitive colleges.  Generally, such colleges will require a 500-750 word essay on a student's reasons for applying to that particular college and why he or she feels suitable for acceptance. 

In writing this essay, students have an opportunity to showcase their writing skills as well as to afford the admissions board a glimpse into their personality and character.  The effectiveness, or lack thereof, of this writing piece could be the difference between an acceptance and a rejection.  Since the admissions board of competitive colleges receives many applications, and because many of these applicants are more or less equally qualified from a scholastic perspective, this essay could be the deciding factor.  Make sure your child is not cast aside because of a so-so essay.
